The Sun

It's a Sunday! a beautiful, sunny Sunday! yay! the sun's shining! Its time to get up and go to church! on my way to church, i can't help but muse and wonder, its a Sunday, the sun's shining. its a beautiful Sunday, i'm off to church .... but wait, half the people around me are off to explore! its a Sunday, the sun's shining its a beautiful Sunday, they are off to see the mountainside! huh? my sentiments exactly! i want to put on my judgment hat get on my judgement seat and declare them ... 'guilty'! for not going to church to worship God on a beautiful day like this! what more could make you aware of the existence of a Creator? Then I think to myself, I'm so quick to judge, but how many times have I adopted the same attitude? seeking the creation instead of the Creator? worshiping the creation instead of the Creator; longing for, aweing at the creation instead of the creator... then it hits me... I'm quick to judge because I recognize what it is

NEW BEGINNINGS

Genesis 1:1   In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.   John 1:1   In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. It’s time to leave again, time to begin afresh again; sometimes the past builds a bridge to the future. Sometimes we make a clean break. The key is never to forget where you’ve been and what you’ve learnt along the way (it will always come in handy, one way or another). New friends, new environment, new food, new culture, new languages, a reorientation! Isn’t that what we so badly need? A reorientation! We become so adapted to the world and its people (Mr B’s line) and we forget that we are different! We are not of this world. Rom 12:2   Don't become like the people of this world. Instead, change the way you think. Then you will always be able to determine what God really wants-what is good, pleasing, and perfect. Least I digress, I was talking about new beginnings.
